For months, Ethereum layer 2 solution Starkware has repeatedly warned users that their funds would be lost if they did not take action before upgrading, but some users apparently did not see these notifications, which resulted in many users being locked out. Locked out of StarkWare accounts, losing access to funds, totaling $550,000 in affected accounts. Due to community pressure, Starkware has re-enabled the ability to upgrade wallets.
